WEST PITTSTON- After starting the 2008 campaign with a dismal 1-3 record, victory is the Wyoming Valley West Spartans only alternative to making the AAAA subregional tournament.

Since the Spartans 34-7 debacle in front of the home fans in week four, losing has not been and option and winning is beginning to be the norm again. Which has all in Spartan land back in a enthusiastic mood.

Valley West records 49-19 win at Stroudsburg

STROUDSBURG - The Wyoming Valley West Spartans packed up their gear and heading to the Pocono Mountains Friday night to tackle the Stroudsburg Mountaineers.

The “Maroon and Gold” would start slow, but finished strong with a 49-19 rout of the Mounts at Ross Stadium.
